August Monthly Meeting
Jordan Lake Cookout

The August membership meeting will be at the Ebenezer Church state park shelter #1 on Jordan Lake. There is a nice sandy beach, a great playground, and a wonderful view, so bring the entire family. There are good boat ramps and we can anchor our boats at the shore by the shelter. For lunch, we will cook on the grill and eat watermelon for dessert. After lunch, we will have a “predicted log poker run”. The skipper with the best predicted time will receive a prize and an extra playing card. We will also have prizes for the three best poker hands. Finally, for those who want to stay at the lake awhile longer, we will get all the boats together and cruise up the lake toward the dam and find a cove to raft up and relax… like we did last year. So, come join your friends in the Squadron for some good food and a good time on the water. Since this is a state park, please remember that no alcohol is allowed in the park area and there is a small entrance fee per car at the park gates. Also, please bring folding chairs.
