Marine Electronics
MES teaches proper wiring methods, theory of electrolysis; batteries, troubleshooting, and all the other aspects of the boats AC and DC electrical systems. There are also a lot of how-to and demonstrations of the tools needed toperform electrical testing, repairs and installations on a boat.
MCS covers the primary radio systems, Marine VHF radios, Digital Selective Calling (DSC),and other communications sytems for boaters. Included are the proper operating procedures, regulations and troubleshooting, again with demonstrations.
If registering on USPS.ORG note the two classes are priced separately and may be taken separately although the most benefit will be realized by taking the two classes together as we are offering this fall. Class length is 13 weeks.
