January 10 to March 7, 2018
This course builds piloting skills that allow pilots to take on the challenges of unfamiliar waters, limited visibility, changing tides and currents, and extended cruises. GPS, radar, chart plotters, and other electronic navigation tools are covered and hands-on exercises help advance student skills. Instruction is presented in 2-3 hour segments weekly, for a total of 24 hours. We assume that you have completed Piloting and have the Weekend Navigator book which we use in this course.
